Synthetik Blonde's new 'I Am Free' unofficial music video
This week sees AI software improving by leaps and bounds.

Every week we see improvements — sharper edges, better transitions, body parts are less distorted. Things like this. It’s amazing how I can always find a simple thread that connects all the videos here. I suspect it’s just me trying to find something that connects all facets of life. For example, this week we seems to have a few videos dealing with basic human dignity. Isaac Garcia, Synthetik Blonde, and DLR VBS show this theme right up front. The rest not so much.

All humans are born free and equal in dignity and right; entitled to all rights and freedoms se forth in the universal declaration of human rights without distinction of and kind... everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.
This is the preamble to Synthetik Blonde's new video — but seems to be a theme on on the minds of some musician, filmmakers, and artists.

I realized that for most videos, it’s just good music with images that work for the music. Blnk, Dope Music Videos, Nuutti Kataja, and PaulG and the Invisible Trangonauts do this. But we always have an outlier video: This week that video is from Low Quality Disc Golf Memes. This video with Cole Peterson’s song “I Hit A Tree Again” fills this slot perfectly. These types of videos are always such a pleasure to find.

The #1 music video for the week can be mistaken as a commercial for Harley’s in France. With French blues band to ride with us. Who better than Kevin Bodin Films to do a commercial for Harley Davidson in France — or anywhere, really. With Manu Lanvin And the Devil Blues performing "Make My Escape" — “I’m gonna ride away because I just can’t stay… Rock and roll gonna save me.” Thank you Kevin Bodin for reminding us what’s important in life. Beautifully done.

A brilliant work by Isaac Garcia — a rare view of humanity. When this video popped in my video queue, I had to watch it several times to comprehend its beauty. With a few strums on Kurt Cobain’s guitar as he introduces “Polly” applause of an audience included — and then he takes off. With some of the best camera work and editing we’ve seen in some time, Garcia brings an incredible amount of humanity into this film. I will forever see this film in my head the next time hear Nirvana’s “Polly.” “These are the faces of the night.”

Synthetik Blonde's new album 'I Am Free' unofficial music video, mixes AI with modern dance. This is why a love my work — there’s always something new around the corner. In “Get Your Filthy Hands Off MeSynthetik Blonde mixes the two beautifully.

Using the tools at our disposal to reinvent yourself in a totally new way is the promise of — and give an old style new life. This is what I thought after interview PaulG from PaulG and the Invisible Twangonauts. Being a big fan of heavy guitar riffs, I was reminded of the Reverend Horton Heat. PaulG keeps the rock n’ roll going nonstop — and never missing a beat with his incredible animation.

A first date — one to remember : With this video from Royalz Boutique out of  San Jose, California, we got suckered into a commercial. But I don’t feel bad because it is so  well done. With soundtrack provided by BeeTaylor singing “Luv Me Not” it looks as we’re along on someone’s date. We have no details about the production but they should know what a great film this is.

DLR VBS (pronounced Dealer Vibes) and “Hard Times.” He says on the video’s description, “A North American hip-hop style rapper keeping it real for the culture and making music that is a pure Hip-Hop digital dopeness with a hustler's vibe that provides motivating comfort for the millions of check-cashing people who constantly give their all within that everyday grind.” And the video is a perfect match to his vision. And he pulls no punches. We need  hear DLR VBS every day.

Blnk studios is beginning to spoil us with their pace of production — nine days ago, as of  this writing, they had  another video in the Top-10. “Different Kind” is a hypnotic scene of shapes and colors. Now they bring us “Bayou.” Blnk is one of a few artists we follow because they are able to show how technology is changing by watching their stunning videos.

Dope Music Video has HYAENA by Travis Scott in this video. Dope Music Video, or, as we say around here — DMV. He always surprises; and never fails us. Lately he’s been into cars. Exotic cars, exotic women and exotic locales. At the end of Travis Scott’s song we are treated to a sampling of “Maggot Brain” the classic Funkadelic.

Pink Floyd is enjoying a resurgence in large part due to the Dark Side Of The Moon 50th anniversary — and it is our pleasure to listen to again. This time with animation rendered by Finnish animator Nuutti Kataja. As with other animators we’ve seen lately, she introduces us to beautifully abstract images that will forever associated with the song “Comfortably Numb.” Always pushing AI to its edge, we are always amazed.

Low Quality Disc Golf Memes brings us "I Hit A Tree Again" by Cole Peterson a Disc Golf Ballad. This is one of those videos that comes out of left field, just sitting there wondering where it came from. For me that title is meaningless. But it is from this little video from Low Quality Disc Golf Memes that we learned about disc golf. After watching their video, I was glad I watched it. The humor is as good as their story and the production. This was a lot of fun to watch.

So this is it for last weeks Top-10. Next week's has already started. Stay tuned.
